Charity by William Bouguereau

"Charity" depicts a woman caring for and protecting young children- giving them her nurturing and knowledge. The nurturing is represented by her bared breasts...illustrating her willingness to give of herself for their well being. Under her left foot is an overturned jug with gold and silver coins flowing out of it. This symbol reveals that there is no cost too great for their happiness. By her right foot a boy is leaning on a pile of books, showing her intent to educate them and give them the gift of knowledge. (Interpretation from the Art Renewal Site) Let us so care for, nurture and educate the young ones entrusted to us. Remember Charlotte's words: "For the Children's Sake".

My friend, Heather, is hosting a wonderful meme at her blog Heart Of A Mommy.

I think this is a great topic for us to be pondering as we create memories for our children this Christmas, and enjoy the month of December as Jesus would want us to.  We are celebrating His birthday and our days should be filled with peace and joy, not craziness.  I am looking forward to the encouragement we will receive, and give one another, through this meme.  I invite all my readers to come join us!

Esther, I SERIOUSLY thought about going to the Dollar store myself for the kids. The Dollar Store has some amazing stuff, even if it isn't the high quality toys I know you want to give to your children.

There are Puzzles, and Coloring Books, and Board Books, story books, wonderful school supplies.

Target has a $1.00 spot in the front of their store, and I ALWAYS find really nice goodies in there. Right now they have Christmas CDs for $1.00.

Stay encouraged! Remember what the season is about. You are a great momma! I love you! ♥
